Republicans want to kick 11 million people off Medicaid—including kids, veterans, and seniors. All to fund tax breaks for billionaires. It’s cruel, it’s reckless, and it must be stopped.
Medicaid provides healthcare for over 80 million Americans—including 40% of all children and 60% of nursing home residents.
11 million people would lose coverage under the GOP’s proposed work requirements, including 1.7 million veterans and 4.3 million children.
Cuts would disproportionately harm rural hospitals, which rely heavily on Medicaid reimbursements.
States that implemented similar policies saw coverage losses without meaningful employment gains.
The administrative cost of enforcing new requirements would cost more than the savings generated by kicking people off. - Murmur
Follow the money behind the MAGA Murder Bill
Republicans: By billionaires, for billionaires, of billionaires.
This is a direct attack on the most vulnerable—children, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.
The GOP plan isn’t about saving money—it’s about shrinking government at the expense of public health.
These cuts will hurt working families the most—especially in red states where Medicaid is essential.
This is part of a long-standing pattern of targeting safety net programs to fund tax cuts for the wealthy.

Republicans’ Budget Plans Would Force America’s Working Class To Foot the Bill for Tax Cuts for the Wealthy
New budget plans from Republicans in Congress propose sweeping new tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. Specifically, among other changes, the budget plans seek to extend the individual income and estate tax provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
According to the U.S. Treasury Department, doing so would cost nearly $4.2 trillion over the next decade—with nearly 60 percent of the tax cuts, or about $2.5 trillion, going to the top 10 percent of taxpayers, who earn more than $228,060 annually.
Meanwhile, the top 1 percent of earners—those making at least $743,247 annually—would see their taxes reduced by more than $1.24 trillion over the next decade, accounting for roughly 30 percent of the total tax cut. - CAP
